Planning your film

  1. Have a script or storyboard to help you organise your thoughts.

  2. Try to think about the location, time, cast of the film before hand.

Shooting your mobile film

  1. Camera stability is very important. Use a tripod if you have one. If not, work on developing a steady grip.

  2. Audio is the second most importan for your mobile film. Try using an external microphone if possible.

  3. It is best to film outside in the sun for best lighting. If you are filming inside then make sure the subject is lit well.

  4. Shoot in different angles, locations, backgrounds to make each shot visually exciting.

Editing

  1. You can use iMovie for Mac and Moviemaker for Vista.

  2. Organise all your shots into different folders and import the best shots into your editing software.

  3. Make sure you save often.

  4. Play around with sound, colour, adding visual effects to make your film more exciting.

  5. Finally export your work as a finished movie.
